About me
I was born in Lodi, Italy, in 1976. In 2001 I obtained the "Laurea" degree (Master of Science) in telecommunications engineering from Politecnico di Milano, and then I started working at CEFRIEL (ICT research, education, and technology transfer centre of Politecnico di Milano), mostly dealing with information and communication security topics. In July 2009 I moved to Innsbruck, Austria, where I am living now, and joined the Semantic Technology Institute (STI) of the University of Innsbruck as a senior researcher and research project manager. In December 2011 I started working in the IT department at Swarovski.
I have used Linux since 1997, I am a member of the ILS - Italian Linux Society (I was a member of the Board from 2002 to 2008), I am a founding member and I was the first President of LOLUG - Lodi Linux Users Group, and I "invented" the (Italian) Linux Day in 2001.
